A while ago my sisters joined a running club. Not all of them but a few of them. L goes to the gym daily and sings in an amazing choir on Thursday nights. E and KK enter races. J directs a major musical production yearly. M is the president and owner of a company that employs 120+ people. D and S are PTO presidents at their children's schools. J and J have full-time jobs AND take care of their families. J and T teach weekly classes.
I am constantly amazed at the huge undertakings my friends and family are involved in. They spend hours organizing, planning and practicing for their projects and hobbies and interests and commitments.
Most days, I don't even want to leave my house.
Recently, I have felt guilt about the fact that I don't even want to be involved in any of this stuff...
so, I am trying to decide...

That reminds me of that one conference talk about cutting out all the good extra stuff to focus on priorities. Dont feel guilty feel glad! I know I am a much better Mom when I save my energy for my own family instead of spreading it around -so that they dont end up with what ever is left over instead of my best.
Sounds like ME! I'm such a homebody and never feel much of a need to do anything new or take on huge new projects. Just projects around the house, mostly. It's probably a reeeally good thing you don't feel the need to go looking for ways to be even more busy, considering how busy you already are just with your kids and all THEIR activities! Good for you for focusing on them. :)
those things that they do are amazing but the things YOU do are amazing too. not only are you raising some amazing children but you are such a SHINING example to them....you still love me jen, and make an effort to stay in my life and know what i'm up to and to be there for me, esp when i couldn't talk to anyone else, when i couldn't explain the truth to anyone else....THIS, jen, is the MOST amazing thing anyone could do for another person and you are teaching your children true happiness. you may not be involved in any club or project but you are involved in peoples LIVES and that is where you receive the best gifts...
